【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsfortheperformance,documentation,andlabelingofsurgicalgownsusedinthehealthcarefacilities.FourlevelsofbarrierpropertiesforsurgicalgownsarespecifiedinAAMIPB70:2003andareincludedinthisspecificationforreferencepurposes.Note1Somepropertiesrequireminimumperformanceandothersarefordocumentationonly.Note2AAMIPB70:2003evaluatesthebarrierpropertiesofsurgicalgownfabricsusingwateronlyinLevels1,2,and3.Sincesurgicalgownsareexposedtobloodandotherfluidswithdifferentsurfacetensions,theperformanceofadditionaltestingtoidentifythebarrierlevelstosimulatedbiologicalfluidsisrequiredforaLevel4gown.1.2Thisspecificationdoesnotcoveralltherequirementsthatahealthcarefacilitydeemsnecessarytoselectaproduct,nordoesitaddresscriteriaforevaluatingexperimentalproducts.1.3Thisspecificationisnotintendedtoserveasadetailedmanufacturingorpurchasespecification,butcanbereferencedinpurchasespecificationsasthebasisforselectingtestrequirements.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
