【摘要】:AcousticEmissiondataacquisitioncanbeaffectedbynumerousfactorsassociatedwiththeelectronicinstrumentation,cables,sensors,sensorholders,couplant,theexaminationarticleonwhichthesensorismounted,backgroundnoise,andtheuser''ssettingsoftheacquisitionparameters(forexample,threshold).Thisguideisnotintendedtoreplaceannual(orsemi-annual)instrumentationcalibration(seePracticeE750)orsensorrecertification(seePracticeE1781).ThisguideisnotintendedtoreplaceroutineelectronicevaluationofAEinstrumentationorroutinesensitivityverificationofAEsensors(seeGuideE976).ThisguideisnotintendedtoverifythemaximumprocessingcapacityorspeedofanAEsystem.Thisguidedoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifanyassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisguidetoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.1Systemperformanceverificationmethodslaunchstresswavesintotheexaminationarticleonwhichthesensorismounted.Theresultingstresswavetravelsintheexaminationarticleandisdetectedbythesensor(s)inamannersimilartoacousticemission.1.2ThisguidedescribesmethodswhichcanbeusedtoverifytheresponseofanAcousticEmissionsystemincludingsensors,couplant,sensormountingdevices,cablesandsystemelectroniccomponents.1.3Acousticemissionsystemperformancecharacteristics,whichmaybeevaluatedusingthisdocument,includesomewaveformparameters,andsourcelocationaccuracy.1.4Performanceverificationisusuallyconductedpriortobeginningtheexamination.1.5Performanceverificationcanbeconductedduringtheexaminationifthereisanysuspicionthatthesystemperformancemayhavechanged.1.6Performanceverificationmaybeconductedaftertheexaminationhasbeencompleted.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
