【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtocomparealltypesofgasketsundersimulatedfieldoperatingconditions.Performanceofagasketcanthusbemeasuredpriortothestart-upofchemicalprocesses.5Thedesignofthetestunitprovidesmaximumrangeofcorrosionresistancesothatmeaningfulresultsarepossible.Thistestmethodmaybeusedasaroutinetestwhenagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationofgasketsundercorrosiveconditionsatvaryingtemperatureandpressurelevels.Thetestunitmaybeglasslinediftheflangesaresufficientlyplane(industryaccepted),thusprovidingresistancetoallchemicals,excepthydrofluoricacid,fromcryogenictemperaturesto260176;C(500176;F)atpressuresfromfullvacuumtotheallowablepressureratingoftheunit,ormadeofothersuitablematerial.Thetestunitdescribed(Fig.1)hasaninternaldesignpressureratingof1034kPa(150psi)at260176;C(500176;F).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3hisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardsstatements,seeSection5.
